The Sex Crimes Defense Attorneys at Grabel & Associates Offer Clients Committed, Aggressive Representation
When you are accused of a sex crime, it is not enough to hire just any lawyer, or even any defense lawyer. Criminal sexual offenses can involve either, or both, state and federal charges, and, because of their sensitive and emotional nature, sex crimes cases are often particularly contentious and stressful for everyone involved. When you are implicated in a sex crime, you may find that employers, co-workers, friends, and even close relatives may not be as supportive as they should be when faced with the possibility that you may be involved in a sex crime, even before any charges have been filed or any arrests made. Added to that, prosecutors and law enforcement can be especially severe and determined, particularly if a case becomes sensationalized in the press. When you are the target of this type of persecution and distrust, the stress, disappointment, anger, fear, and hurt of the experience can make your case even more difficult for you to handle.

And, if we can, we will resolve a case before it gets to trial by negotiating to have charges dropped or reduced. When you are facing charges for a sex crime, turn to Grabel & Associates. Walled Lake, Michigan, is a city in Oakland County, about 22 miles northwest of Detroit. Walled Lake's unusual name is rumored to have been bestowed upon the town by its first western settler, Walter Hewitt, in 1825, due to a stone wall he observed along the lake's western bank. The area was inhabited by Ojibwa and Potowatami tribes up until about 1830, and the wall was probably built by one of these tribes. One notable historic building in Walled Lake is the Foster Farmhouse, built in 1833, which served as a resting spot for runaway slaves along the Underground Railroad on their way to Canada. Today, the population of Walled Lake is just under 7,000 residents. The crime rate in Walled Lake is low about half the national average. There are 14 registered sex offenders living in Walled Lake, making the ratio of residents to sex offenders roughly half the Michigan average.
